holy ****!!!!

presentation is everything. Main menu, okay funny screamin guy and a shark. start game. okay, move, jump, AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Lesser mean have wet themselves at surprises like that. Bravo.

Nothing says fear like a bloody eyed 30-foot tall mouth gnashing its way towards you with tireless ferocity. while peaceful relaxing beach tunes play in the background.

Oh, and the game's fun enough to warrant some good replay value, too. I appreciate that.

Nice work. Simple, cleanly made, entertaining.

OMFG! CALLED IT!

ahhhh, the good times of physics'defying zaniness. good times. Gotta love the cartoony feel from start to finish. Nice work.

Also, soon as the spy walks in on the new baby, before the purple hand even popped up, I just knew. It COULDN'T have been anything else. Hate that little dragon.

Comic relief rarely lives up to the phrase. Congrats.

Last Breath : Overwhelmed Last Breath : Overwhelmed

good design speaks for itself

this game was fun, simply put. being able to push asteroids around to smash enemies was a nice touch, and having to use it for a boss was great. Keeping a reasonable limit on powerups keeps the game from becoming a "clean sweep" where you just sweep the screen and mow down everything. having to choose when to pick up powerups at the expense of shield was a great layer of strategy. The challenge didn't get out of hand too quickly, but it did increase steadily, to my liking. I want a sequal, with more corridors, more enemy types, and a variety of weapons to powerup and choose from. Bullet mazing bosses are cool too, when kept in moderation. I would have liked to see the bosses pull out more patterns when their shields came back up, instead of returning to their original routine. That would make each boss unique, progressively more challenging, and non-repetitive. Do this again, but do it BIGGER.

Super Mario bros Z ep.8 Super Mario bros Z ep.8

epic......just epic

its not often that something blows your mind every time. Plot, humor, action, innovation, skillful construction; I don't have space for ALL the words I could use, but those should cover the basics. This series just gets more and more impressive with every episode. Each time, I notice new sounds and animations that you've managed to incorporate into the characters, which only expands the possibilities. The wait has definitely been worth it, and I say the wait will continue to be worth it; so long as it remains the crown jewel of your efforts, it will be a crown jewel of newgrounds, no questions asked.

Alvin Earthworm is like unto a god of animation. RESPECT, FOOLS!!!!

there's hope for games yet

when i see thousands of flashy garbage games, i hang my head in dismay at the future of gaming. then an unassuming, straightforward little title peeks out from underneath the trash and goes "hi. try me?" And it turns out it's something priceless. Simple controls, great pacing and acceleration, fitting music, good atmosphere, and the surprises kept gradually revealing themselves over time.

glass windows? do I just THUD. damn.

whats the thing that just dropped? OHSHBOOM. damn.

why's that building crackedAAAAAAAAH. damn.

great moments that I laughed at immediately after.

Excellent work man; for a five day project, you definitely got your priorities right. Looking forward to your future works. Just remember what made this game fun when you're making future games, and you'll be epic, guaranteed.

Megaman vs Airman Megaman vs Airman

Rated 4 / 5 stars January 28, 2009

heheheh, nice, needs SFX

that was kinda predictable, yet surprising too, in a gneuinely entertaining way. Round 1 is how I felt as a kid when I played MM2, round 2 was was what I WANTED to do as a kid, and round 3 was just cool. It was sorely lackin in sound effects though, thats what it really needs to juice the action up. try another one, with more SFX work, and of course, more dynamic bosses too. Shadowman, geminiman, skullman, clawman, you know, the more agile, formidable bosses would lend themselves well to this kind of thing.

very fun game, for starters

missile command turned on its ear? Hehe. Like the style, good animation work, smooth collision detection, I like it. As with any game, there are things that would juice it up a bit, such as more background music variety, more types of missiles to kill, different types of cube, perhaps cube that react differently to wall, floor, or missile impact, maybe some heavy or light cubes that move slower or faster in response to your magnet, or ones that actually bounce off missile impacts or other cubes. Or how about a small field above each base that can act as an elevated floor to bounce cubes off of? Maybe a springboard of some type that bounces cubes higher automatically. Having a taller playing field might facilitate some new tricks. I could go on, but those things would make the game a bit more interesting, if you decide to do a sequel. Good work though.

Mecha Dress Up Game Mecha Dress Up Game

Rated 5 / 5 stars June 20, 2008

rock on

naturally, when you see "dress up" you get ideas. SURPRISE!!! Nice work man. Pretty good selection of parts here, lots of wicked combinations I could find. Randomize button is great too. My favorite part though, is the nuke button. LMFAO! That's just the final straw for fun.
Couple things you could try for the future: Color palettes would be good, optional menu for selecting parts instead of clicking on the parts themselves (mainly because sometimes a part might be partially hidden by others, might misclick and all that, also would help to identify when extra part options are available) little more variety in BGMs, and naturally, more parts. Oh! And a bigger explosion when you hit the nuke button. LOL!
